Reporte de los trabajos de la Comisión de Límites, para fijar la línea fronteriza entre México y los Estados Unidos, de acuerdo al Tratado de Paz de 1848.
El tratado estaba basado en el mapa de Disturnell, que tenia el problema de tener situada la ciudad de El Paso y el Río Grande hacia el Norte y Oeste de su situación real.
Esto dio lugar a la exigencia de venta de La Mesilla a los Estados Unidos, y el reemplazo de Bartlett por Gadsen en la Comisión de Límites
